Bordered to the south by the US states, it is Canada's most populous province by a large margin and the wealthiest. Ontario has the best grandstand view of the Niagara Falls – to the chagrin of many tour operators in the US. Ontario is also host to two longstanding theatre festivals, with its emphasis on the works of Shakespeare.
